About Donnie Gibson
Donnie Gibson has spent his entire adult life in the construction business. First, as a laborer and working his way through landscape, underground utilities, and earthmoving, to now owning two companies; Civil Werx, a construction company, and Table Mountain Equipment, an equipment rental company. Having the opportunity to start from the bottom and work his way up has given Donnie a broad base of leadership, strong negotiation skills, the ability to look at the bigger picture, and create cultures within groups of people.
In addition to his work in construction, Donnie is active in his community, sitting on the Executive Board of Directors for the Nevada Contractors Association, on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, and recently he has been added to the Board of Hope for Prisoners. Donnie also serves on four government affairs committees; Nevada Contractors Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, Southern Nevada Home Builders and NAIOP.
Donnie’s involvement with these associations and their Government Affairs Committees over the last four years has given him a huge insight into the struggles that our state faces. Particularly, in the last legislative session; business, the construction industry, and education took a beating at the hands of elected officials. Donnie believes that government should be smaller, more effective, and should let businesses breathe and excel. He believes our education system needs to work for all students, rather than the one-size-fits-all model that legislative leaders seem determined to make work. Donnie is a firm believer in trade schools and strongly believes that our state should be investing in trade schools for students.
Donnie and his wife, Wendy, moved to Las Vegas shortly after they married. They raised their two daughters here, and both went to Clark County public schools. He has called Assembly District 4 home for nearly two decades.
